DEWANTO is a five-piece band based in Muenster, Germany, who came together in 2005.
Somewhere at the crossroads of electronica,indie and post-rock DEWANTO delivers an
energy-loaded, rhythmically cultivated mix. The music is sometimes playfully noisy,
sometimes gentle and melodic, but always peppered with outrageous synth-sounds that
lends a heaping helping of pop to the mix. Spontaneity and originality show themselves
in sudden hooks, which are surprisingly interjected by various musical influences:
Unexpected but rigorous, unexpectedly conventional and unexpectedly unconventional,but tied together with a familiar thread that makes the tracks extremely danceable.
